NEW ETHIC ELECTRIC VALUES

LEARN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THE INSPIRATION, EXPERIENCE & VALUES BEHIND NEW ETHIC ELECTRIC.

My name is Nicko Lunardi. I've been in the electrical industry since 2006, when I did my apprenticeship with a company that focused mostly on residential and commercial electrical services, maintenance and Installations. I became a sole trader business in 2013 to allow myself more flexibility to focus on environmental, social and animal activism.

During this time, I started a litter and waste awareness organisation called Scabduty. As a collective of people, we would volunteer our time to undertake regular beach cleans and micro plastic trawls around Neerim (Port Phillip Bay) and the Birrarung River (Yarra River). This experience lead me to 5 years of volunteering and sailing around parts of the world as an electrician and engineer with marine conservation organisation, Sea-Shepherd.

New Ethic Electric is now taking learnings from the electrical industry and combing them with what is known about environmentalism to focus on future goals. Those goals include centring environmentalist values and a quality over quantity driven service, in addition to energy savings for customers. New Ethic Electric customers can take advantage of saving money on their power bills which can have a positive impact on our environment.

New Ethic Electric aims to re-use, up-cycle and re-cycle as much as we can from jobs and we are committed to being a ‘1% for the Planet’ business. We donate 1% of yearly profits to an environmental, social or animal activist organisation. To date, New Ethic Electric has donated to PortPhillip Eco Center.
